Essential Oils for Hair Care : Effective Tips for Healthy Hair

Thanks to their healing properties, essential oils have become a staple in every home. People use these oils for minor health problems, household cleaning products, skin problems, hair care and so on. And although they go back to antiquity, essential oils remain a product of choice, even today, thanks to their several benefits.

Essential oils are the safest choice for our hair because they are all natural and chemicals-free. They’re an excellent remedy against dandruff, they strengthen your hair and stimulate hair growth.

Ylang Ylang oil :

Ylang Ylang essential oil is best known for stimulating the production of sebum. It is perfect for people with a dry scalp.

We suggest you mix five drops of ylang-ylang oil with two tablespoons of warm olive oil and gently massage the scalp. Leave it for about 30 minutes and then wash your hair.

Clary sage oil :

Clary sage oil is antidepressant, anticonvulsant, antiseptic, anti-infectious and has many other properties, as well as soothing components. It also acts as a cure for stress-induced hair loss. Mixed with jojoba oil, clary sage regulates the production of oil in the skin, thus avoiding the dry scaly scalp that often leads to dandruff.

You can add 3 drops of clary sage essential oil to your favorite conditioner and then apply it to your scalp and leave it for two minutes before washing it. As a result, you will have stronger strands.

Cedarwood oil :

This wood-scented oil promotes hair growth by balancing the oil-producing glands in the scalp. According to a study, mixing cedarwood oil with lavender, thyme and rosemary helps alleviate the symptoms associated with alopecia areata. Among others, cedar oil is an insect repellent that can be very useful during summer nights.

Tea tree oil :

Because of its cleansing, antifungal and antiviral properties, tea tree oil is one of the best oils available on the market. It stimulates hair growth and helps reduce dandruff. This is why it is often found in hair products. It keeps the hair follicles clean and healthy, and unblocks them to stimulate the natural flow of oil.

We suggest you pour about ten drops of tea tree oil into your shampoo or conditioner for daily use. Or you can mix three drops of it with two tablespoons of carrier oil and leave it for 15 minutes. Either way, your hair will look healthier and shinier.

Peppermint oil :

Peppermint oil is perfect for both oily and dry hair. It increases blood flow to the applied areas, as well as balancing the natural oil flow, helping to fight against dandruff. Peppermint oil also helps treat lice. According to a study, the peppermint mixture with eucalyptus oil can be as effective as a commercial treatment for lice shampoo.
