DIY Beauty: Make your Own Floral Water

The use of a bracing lotion is very important in a skin care routine. This kind of cosmetic product can be found at every store, all the brands have created a different recipe with different smells. Still, we come back again to the problem of cosmetic products with too many chemicals. Thus, I started to look for natural recipes that will allow us to have an amazing skin. In this article, I will show you how to make your homemade floral water.

Ingredients

  • Sterilized bottle
  • A good handful of flowers / plants dried or fresh depending on what you want to get as a result.

We will later see which herb you should use depending on your skin type

Recipe

In 1/4 liter of mineral water put the handful flower, and boil it. Let it cool for 15 minutes, filter the mixture and poor the water into the sterilized bottle. This potion can be saved in the fridge up to one week.

Skin type & herbes

Dry skin: marigold,  mallow, or chamomile

Oily skin: Lavender, Rosemary, sage, thyme, mint, and witch hazel.

Irritated skin: oat flakes, chamomile

Sensitive skin: chamomile, lime, vervain, and St. John’s wort.
