Beauty Recipes of the Day – Skincare & Hearcare

To be beautiful from head to toe, you don’t have to ruin your life and fill your bathroom with commercially available products. Maybe there’s everything you need in your fridge! Here are 2 recipes for homemade cosmetics: one for skin and one for hair.

DRY SPLIT ENDS

For damaged, split and brittle hair, we know it: a hair cut is the best way to go!
But to take care of your damaged split ends, tame them, and prevent them from being broken by protecting them. Here is a simple recipe that has proven its effectiveness.

The Ingredients you will need

  • Coconut oil
  • Aloe vera gel

The Preparation

Nothing could be simpler! Take a dab of coconut oil. Its solid texture at room temperature makes it easy to work with. Add one or two pumps of aloe vera gel and spread the mixture between your hands. The heat of your skin will cause the coconut oil to melt, making the mixture creamy.

The Application

Apply to dry hair, on lengths and split ends only. Be careful not to apply too much, as this will make your hair heavier. The bonus? Your hair will be delicately scented with coconut oil.

PURIFYING FACE MASK

Skin Irregularities, blackheads, pimples… Do the imperfections of your skin annoy you? Once a week after a gentle exfoliation, apply this mask to cleanse it and restore healthier skin. Purifying, antibacterial and soothing, it is the ideal remedy for skin with imperfections.

The Ingredients you will need

  • Green Clay (powder)
  • Honey
  • Aloe vera gel
  • Some water

The Preparation

In a bowl, pour two tablespoons of green clay powder, one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of aloe vera gel. Mix all this while gradually adding water until you obtain a smooth paste.

The Application

Apply the mask in a thick and homogeneous layer on your face avoiding the fragile eye contour area. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. If your skin is sensitive, use a mister to “rehydrate” the mask regularly to prevent it from drying on your skin.
